A New Approach to Hot Stones - Day 1 Instructor: Amy Scottino, LMT, MTI, CEP Instructor: Christina Hughes, LMT, MTI, CEP Course: 6 CE hours Location: Emerald Bodywork Education Facility 3700 W. 15th Street, 300D, Plano, TX 75075 Date: July 17, 2023 Time: 9:00 am to 4:00 pm Tuition: Day 1 $260 (*hot stone kit included in this price) Description: Join us to explore the therapeutic benefits of basalt stones! Day one, day two or both! This course will navigate the basics of hot stone massage including benefits, contraindications, set up, clean up and how to use stones during massage therapy. We will also venture into a more therapeutic approach to hot stone massage. Learning hot stone massage will help you build your clientele but it will also extend the lifetime of your career by saving your hands from overuse. Both days include demonstrations and hands on, peer to peer practice. Day One : We will introduce the students to the history and theory behind hot stone massage; proper techniques, including body mechanics; how to clean and care for your stones; and how to incorporate stones into your existing massage practice and stretching routines. Supplies to Bring: Sheet set, oil of choice, 2 hand towels, 1 bath towel, *Electric, waterless hot stone set included in tuition.
