Emerald Bodywork Education Policies:

Student Registration

Per State of Texas and NCBTMB guidelines, each student will be required to complete a registration form for each class attended. This form will be emailed to the student upon completion of the class sign up. Class will not begin until we have a completed registration form from each student in attendance.

Attendance Policy

Every hour of attendance is measured at the top of the hour. If a student is late from 1 minute to 19 minutes they are considered tardy for that hour. If the student is considered tardy for 3 hours of class, one hour of participation will be deducted from their certificate  of completion. If the student arrives 20 minutes after the hour they will be considered absent for that hour and will not receive credit for that hour. Instructors will observe 10 minutes of break time each hour and an hour lunch for every class.

Inclement Weather and Instructor Illness Policy

Inclement Weather policy is based on local weather forecasts. Class will not be held if driving conditions are considered dangerous. Should a class be canceled do to inclement weather or instructor illness, that class will be rescheduled for a later date. In the event of a reschedule, each student that has registared and paid for their class in full will be granted a credit to use for a future class of their choosing.

Refund Policy

If a student is unable to attend a class that has been paid for, a refund minus a 10% processing fee will be granted if the student gives Emerald Bodywork Education at least 72 hours notice prior to the start of the course.  If less than 72 hours of notice is given, amount paid by the student, minus a 10% processing fee will be honored as a credit for another course offered by Emerald Bodywork Education in the future.

Low Attendance Policy

Emerald Bodywork Education reserves the right to postpone or reschedule a class to do low attendance. In order to foster the best environment for learning, there must be at least 4 students registered. The students registered for a scheduled class will be given adequate notice if it needs to be rescheduled for attendance purposes.

In order to receive a certificate of completion

Unless advised otherwise, the student will not be required to take a test or quiz at the end of class. But participation is required to acquire new skills and to be awarded a certificate of completion. Once the student has attended all required hours, a signed certificate including the course name and hours attended will be provided.
