Postpartum & Infant Massage Care Instructor: Amy Scottino, LMT, MTI, CEP Course 6 CE hours Location: Handcrafted Therapy Training Center 2095 N. Collins Blvd. #201, Richardson, TX 75080 Date: May 19, 2026 Time: 9:00am to 4:00pm Attention to physical healing in this course is important. But more important is the long-term healing that the mother feels well-nurtured and well-taken care of in the vital first days of motherhood. Since “birthing” their baby, the mother has a whole new set of challenges, and changes both psychologically and physiologically. Postpartum period is considered 6 weeks by Western Medicine, and 4 months for Eastern Medicine. The new mother could feel changes for over 2 years. In this 6 hour course we will navigate the physical and emotional changes that occur after childbirth. The way that bodywork can support the mother and baby. Supplies to bring: Body pillow with a normal pillow, or 3 normal pillows. Sheet set and lotion or oil. 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel. A baby doll to practice infant massage on.
