Service Description

The listening hands: Elevating palpation skills and precision – 6 CEU Instructor: Jennifer Leogier, LMT, MTI, CEP Instructor: Steve Wiley, LMT, MTI, CEP Date: Monday 23rd of February 2026 Price : $195 – 6CEU Location: 6750 Hillcrest Plaza Dr #317, Dallas, TX 75230 Elevator on site to bring the table up. Course Description: This immersive, hands-on workshop invites LMT’s to deepen their tactile sensitivity and anatomical clarity through the art of refined palpation. Designed as a two-part experience, the morning session will feature a series of interactive stations designed to sharpen sensory awareness, refine touch perception, and build confidence in identifying texture, tension, and directional drag—without working directly on the body. In the afternoon, we will shift focus to targeted palpation of muscles, tendons, ligaments, and bone tissue—exploring the periosteum with precision and care. Participants will leave this workshop with sharper tactile awareness, greater anatomical confidence, and a renewed sense of the importance of communication through contact. To create an optimal learning environment, space is limited to 12 participants. Supplies to bring: Eye mask, massage table, sheet set, one pillow or bolster and pen/pencil for notes. Tight clothing such as yoga pants (shorts would be ideal) and sports bras. The work will be done dry, no need to bring a medium. Jennifer Leogier, LMT, MTI, CEP, approaches massage therapy as a collaborative dialogue between two nervous systems where the language of touch becomes an alley for transformation and health. Steve Wiley, LMT, MTI, CEP Steve believes that curiosity and continuous learning is key to excellence in massage therapy. Learning Objectives: By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to: Demonstrate increased tactile sensitivity and precision through guided palpation exercises. (Morning stations will include texture differentiation, directional drag). Identify and palpate key musculoskeletal structures with anatomical accuracy. (Afternoon focus on muscles, tendons, ligaments, and periosteal tissue.) Distinguish between tissue layers and qualities using refined touch techniques. (Including strategies for depth modulation and tissue listening.) Apply palpation skills to improve therapeutic outcomes and client communication. (Emphasizing clinical relevance and somatic feedback.) Integrate breath, body mechanics, and presence to support sustainable palpation practice. (T
